Kaplan-Norton BSC Certified Graduate

Candidates must complete the 5-day Certification Boot Camp to prepare for and pass an online exam within 12 months to earn Certification. Candidates will dive deep into the stages of the Kaplan-Norton Strategy Management System and learn the specific skills, tools, and enabling foundations needed to clarify the strategy, drive performance, and optimize data for better decision-making. Candidates are adept at using the BSC and Dashboards to develop the strategy; translate the strategy; align the organization; plan operations; and test and adapt the strategy.

Graduate Certification Requirement: Course completion and passing the online exam

 
Kaplan-Norton BSC Certified Practitioner

Candidates must complete and submit an application for review by the Certification Board which will require 2 letters of reference and work-product examples of Balanced Scorecards or Dashboards. Practitioner candidates are recognized as expert s of strategy management and exemplify the skills and experience required to successfully implement a sustainable strategy management process in an organization.

Practitioner Certification Requirement: Practitioner candidates must attend the Certification Boot Camp, pass the certification exam, and receive application approval.

Palladium Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certification Process

I. Getting Started – Register

Register as a candidate at: thepalladiumgroup.com/certificationprogram or call 800.554.2111
All certification candidates must register. Delegates who wish to attend the Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certification Boot Camp only need not register for Certification.

II. Complete the Course

Both Kaplan-Norton BSC Certified and Certified Practitioner candidates must complete the 5-day Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certification Boot Camp.

III. Pass the Exam

A Certification candidate who has completed the Kaplan-Norton Certification Boot Camp may register to take the Certification exam to become Kaplan-Norton BSC Certified. The Certification exam is oriented on the Kaplan-Norton Strategy Management System, the five principles of the Strategy-Focused Organization, and associated best practices. The Certification exam is comprised of a series of multiple choice questions and a number of free response essay questions.

IV. Advance to Kaplan-Norton BSC Certified Practitioner

Kaplan-Norton BSC Certified individuals who wish to advance to Certified Practitioners may apply online at:  thepalladiumgroup.com/certificationprogram or call 800.554.2111 for an application. Applicants must present two letters of reference and submit an example of a working Balanced Scorecard or Dashboard that will be reviewed by the Certification Board.  

Certified individuals have the option to upgrade to the Premium Certified Community and Diploma. The Premium Certified Community is an online resource to access a library of tools, templates, and case studies while connecting with a global network of strategy professionals and experts.

Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certification Renewal

In order to maintain Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certification, you must renew annually.

There are two requirements for renewal:

1. A renewal fee of $295 which will maintain your subscription to the Balanced Scorecard Report. The renewal date is set at the 12-month anniversary of the date Certification was issued.
2. Attendance at a Palladium Conference or Summit every two-years; the two-year period extends from the date Certification was issued.
