Palladium Shortlisted for British Expertise International Awards

Shortlisted for Awards for Outstanding International Business, Outstanding International Development in a Fragile State and Outstanding International Leadership

British Expertise, an organisation for professional service companies that helps its members develop business abroad, announced the shortlist last week for the 2016 British Expertise International Awards. Palladium was named in three categories:

  • Outstanding International Business: Palladium’s Corporate Strategy. Celebrating its 50th year, GRM Futures rebranded as Palladium in July 2015 in recognition of the company’s evolving focus and strategy. We have joined together complementary organisations to expand our services and become the partner of choice for forward-looking private sector organisations, donors, and public sector agencies seeking to sustain positive impact.
  • Outstanding International Development in a Fragile State: Palladium’s GEMS1 Programme. GEMS1, a DFID programme implemented by Palladium, enhances the jobs and incomes of almost a quarter of a million people across rural, conflict-prone northern Nigeria. Over the last five years, the project has improved local markets for livestock, meat and leather goods by giving the poor greater access to finance, skills and services, improving the production and value of local products, and building linkages to supply chains for exports and domestic supermarkets.
  • Outstanding International Leadership: Palladium’s Let’s Make It Possible Initiative. Palladium’s Let’s Make It Possible initiative brings our corporate responsibility activities into the core business strategy. The best CSR programmes are scalable and sustainable because they drive improved profitability and stakeholder value in the community. As leaders in this area, we use our own capital to finance innovators, entrepreneurs and start-ups with ideas that can make lasting change possible and, with our support, scalable.

Palladium’s CEO, Kim Bredhauer, said, ‘We are very pleased to be considered for the British Expertise Awards. It is a testament to the incredible work of our employees and a reflection of the strength of our vision: a new kind of company that will better deliver positive impact for greater numbers globally.’

Award winners will be announced in April 2016.
