This is the first annual call of the Sustainable Agriculture (SAA) program. The SAA Activity Fund will trigger Fixed Amount Awards (FAA) with a disbursement scheme based on achieving milestones and delivering results. It is an opportunity to support initiatives and join efforts with market actors for the development of resilient, profitable and sustainable agribusiness models that can contribute to boost inclusive growth through investment in more sustainable production chains.

This call for proposals will engage the private sector to offer market-based solutions and engage in transformative partnerships, to achieve SAA’s objectives. Eligible activities include novel ideas and innovative business models related to market access, productivity, crop climate resilience and support services needed in SAA's prioritised (but not limited to) production chains of coffee, cocoa, dairy, fruits, vegetables, and rubber.

Important: SAA establishes as a transversal axis to promote gender equity and social inclusion (GESI) in all project strategies and activities, seeking to mainstream the gender and social inclusion perspective in the activities supported by the program.

The activity expects to receive concept notes proposing to work towards one or more of the following general objectives:

Objective 1: Improved Market Access and Increased Sales for Agricultural Producers.

Objective 2: Increased Productivity of Licit Production Systems.

Objective 3: Expand the Use of Climate-Smart Agriculture.
