Financial Literacy and Business Management Training - Papua New Guinea

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has launched the US $16M Papua New Guinea Sustainable Landscapes (PNGSL) program, implemented by Palladium, which aims to improve forest governance, increase the environmental sustainability of the forestry and AFOLU industries, and protect the land and resource rights of local communities in order to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, enhance carbon sequestration, and increase the sustainability of natural resource management (NRM).

Palladium is seeking local organisations to lead local financial literary business management trainings in communities in the provinces of Madang and Morobe in Papua New Guinea.

We're engaging local training providers to provide financial literacy and business management trainings to business owners, cooperative members, and households in high-carbon areas of Papua New Guinea. This is part of our effort to support and scale up economic activities that enhance local livelihoods while protecting the environment.

This request for applications seeks to issue milestone-based grants to training providers with a track record of successfully assisting entrepreneurs and/or organizations to improve their access to finance and markets, and improve their resilience to economic shocks and stressors. The objective is to improve the ability of local entrepreneurs to establish, grow, and scale commercially viable enterprises that protect, restore, and/or improve the management of natural landscapes.

We may engage multiple training providers through this call for applications.
